Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is RexCargo Trading S.A., corporate ID 3-101-697999, trading as RexSecurity, located in Belén, Heredia, Costa Rica, 40703. For any privacy matter, write to soporte@rexsecurity.com.
This notice is issued under Costa Rica’s Law on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of their Personal Data (Law 8968) and its regulations. It applies to this website. The client portal is governed by each client’s service contract.
What data we collect
We only collect the data you give us in the contact form:
- Name and email (required).
- Company and phone (optional).
- The topic and text of your message.
To protect the form from automated submissions, Cloudflare Turnstile analyses technical data from your browser, such as your IP address and device characteristics. The web server logs technical data for each visit (IP address, date, page requested and browser) for security and operation.
We do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not include it in your message.
What we use it for
- Answering your enquiry, preparing quotes and arranging visits or technical support.
- Following up on any business relationship that arises from that enquiry.
- Protecting the site against abuse and attacks.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we will not send you newsletters without your express permission.
Legal basis
We process your data with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form before sending it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to soporte@rexsecurity.com.
Who we share it with
We use two providers that process data on our behalf to run the form:

This involves an international data transfer, which you authorise by accepting this notice. Within the Rex America group, your data is shared only when needed to handle your request. Otherwise, we will only disclose it to an authority that requests it lawfully.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as needed to handle the enquiry. If it does not lead to a business relationship, we delete them no later than 24 months after the last contact. If you become a client, we keep them for the duration of the relationship and any period required by law.
Your rights
You may ask at any time for:
- Access: to know what data we hold about you and why.
- Rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: to have your data deleted when no longer needed or when you withdraw consent.
Write to soporte@rexsecurity.com with the subject “Privacy”, stating your name and your request. We will reply within the five business days set by Law 8968. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may contact Costa Rica’s Data Protection Agency (PRODHAB).
How we protect it
The site uses an encrypted connection and the form only sends data to the providers listed above. Access to received messages is limited to the staff who handle enquiries.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
